Building a hovercraft. . . What a smashing idea! Whether or not you’re reading this i’m guessing that you’re mesmerized in building your own hovercraft. . . Good for you. In this article i’m going to outline the 4 major constituents of a hovercraft and give you a quick comprehensible statement in regards to them, so when you go to build up yours it won’t seem so scary and intimidating.

Lets get started.

Building a hovercraft – 4 critical constituents

1) fan strategy – the fan strategy is what’s applied to inflate the giant balloon(or the skirt) on the bottom of the hovercraft. The fan strategy pumps air into the skirt and is what gives the hovercraft its lift. A homemade fan strategy can be nothing more than a vacuum cleaner or a leaf blower.
google_ad_channel = "2013111203";
google_ui_features = "rc:0";
google_ad_width = 336;
google_ad_height = 280;
google_ad_format = "336x280_as";
google_ad_type = "text_image";
google_alternate_ad_url = "?adsensem-benice=336x280";
google_color_border = "ffffff";
google_color_bg = "ffffff";
google_color_link = "727272";
google_color_text = "727272";
google_color_url = "727272";

//-->

2) skirt – Generally the huge giant rubber balloon at the bottom of your hovercraft, it’s what keeps you off the cause, and keeps you buoyant. The fan strategy fills it up with air, and the platform sits on top of it to flatten it. You can make your skirt out of plastic sheets or something alike, just make sure it’s strong and doesn’t have any holes in it.

3) platform – beautiful much a hard, flat piece of material where the pilot sits. It similarly keeps the skirt flattened to make sure that air pressure is evenly disseminate. The stand or stage can be made of any hard and flat material, such as timber or fibreglass.

4) propulsion strategy – the thing that pushes you forward using left over air from the fan strategy, or another fan on the back. It does not need much thrust as you are floating on air so you can get rather fast rather effortlessly.
